Words are mightier than swords. They tug at the heart and the mind. The right words draw men to action or cool tempers. Why fight, when we can leave to engage another day? For these times, there is diplomacy. There is even intimidation. For all those other times though, there are fists. And knees, elbows, feet, and heads.
Garbed in simple robes and sacred vows, Llewellyn follows where the gods lead him, bringing with him justice, compassion, and peace. A leader of men, Llewellyn draws his armies not into battle, but into safety and economic justice. While Llewellyn fights his battles for peace in the outside world, the Kelvinhaugh manor, ancenstral home to Llewellyn and his brother, Ozymandias, serves as home and refuge for the Order of the Beautiful Mind. Disparaging of personal wealth, the rewards of service and adventuring fund a large and ever growing community where everybody has a safe place to live, study, and work and has enough to eat as well. This magical community is guarded by the Order and a militia recuited from among the residents. The rewards of peace are bountiful, measured in safety, reliable harvests, and magical utility. One of the Order’s greatest members, the arcanist Tink Overspark, devises magical devices to assist with the plantings and harvests and to aid in the defense of the manor.
The rewards of service are good for Llewellyn as well. Paid not in gold, but in love and loyalty, the Llewellyn family is close to each other and to their community. Llewellyn has earned the friendship of the Fey and won the love of one of their own, the great nymph Treas Ní Bhraonáin.
